Following in the footsteps of Augusta County, the City of Waynesboro is trying to clean up its water supply, and micro-filtration systems are going to be the answer.
In Waynesboro, water officials will be putting in the filtration systems to wells.
The Corner Springs Well was shut down back in June for having un-safe drinking water.
"Once we get the micro-filtration system and the plant put in, it's gonna be located at our corner springs park...where the major spring is, and then we'll be able to use that spring again," says Otis Ellsworth from the Waynesboro Public Works.
Otis Ellsworth says they hope to have all of the new filtration systems installed by 2011 to ensure safe drinking water for the future of Waynesboro.
