Internet Filter Bill

Legislation requiring public libraries in Virginia to install internet filters on public computers was signed by Governor Kaine Thursday.

Senator Mark Obenshain and Senate Majority Leader Walter Stosch were sponsors of the bill.

Obenshain says this will prevent taxpayer dollars from funding inappropriate and obscene behaviors at public libraries.

The bill will become Virginia law July first of this year.
