If you want to find a school, or a voting place in Staunton a new website powered by the city will make it easier for you.
The geographical information systems takes aerial shots of the city and then puts them into a computer system.
John Brady of information technology says residents can log onto the city's homepage to view the images.
The system can also be used by public works crews and developers to map out lots.
"On the computer we'll trace parcel boundaries, we'll trace lot lines, we'll map man hole covers, we'll map the sewer lines, water lines," says John Brady.
On the site you can find information on city properties, utilities, zoning, flood zones, and such information as school, historic, and voting districts.
