Kids of all ages came out to race soap box derby cars in the Annual Blue Ridge Soap Box Classic.
A total of 100 children competed in Saturday's event. The annual event is a great opportunity for young people to learn the art of competition. As well as to spend time with their parents while building their race cars.
Moms like Dawn Marshall sees how important the racing is to her son. "The bond it builds between father and son, them out working on the car and spending time together it's a lot of quality spent time."
