The warmer weather seems to be bringing burglars back out around the Valley.

Deputies in Rockingham County say someone reported $3,600 of jewelry stolen from a home on Crousehorn Lane, near Dayton, Tuesday. The jewelry included a diamond cluster ring, a wedding band and a diamond necklace charm.

Deputies in Shenandoah County are reporting a stolen flat-screen TV from a home in Strasburg. The TV, a video game system and some CDs were taken from a home on Copp Road late Friday night.

Deputies in Augusta County report that someone stole a plastic dog house from a home on Stokesville Road. It was taken Monday or Tuesday.

Staunton Police are reporting some vandalism. They say someone spray-painted a car on Skymont Road over the weekend, causing $3,500 in damage.

Staunton Police are also reporting two related thefts from a church and a business over the weekend. They say someone stole two laptops and some cash from the Third Presbyterian Church on Barterbrook Road, and someone stole $2,600 in cash and some knives from Smiley Tile, less than a block away, during the same time period.

Harrisonburg Police are reporting some phony money. They say someone used a counterfeit bill at Farmers & Merchants Bank Monday afternoon.

If you have any information about these cases, call your local police department or sheriff's office.
