A bull was shot dead on the streets of Harrisonburg.
It happened Sunday morning along Collicello Street.
Police say the bull apparently escaped overnight from Shenandoah Valley Livestock Sales on Edom Road.
Police say neighbors called about seeing the bull walking the streets.
Livestock owners told police the bull was an aggressive animal.
It is unclear how the bull escaped.
