HARRISONBURG, Va -- Bullying does not just happen at a young age. College students see the problem too.
That was why some James Madison University students wore orange on Wednesday. It was all for 'Unity Day' to bring attention to bullying.
Alexis Ward, a student at JMU, said bullying is a personal cause for her and that students should take a stand against it.
"I have two brothers that are autistic and they've been teased and bullied their entire lives and so I've always been a big supporter of just making people aware of how big of an issue it is because it really is a huge issue and people don't think about it," said Ward.
Ward said wearing a bright color, like orange, can really bring attention to the cause. She said she was disappointed more students did not participate.
