SHENANDOAH COUNTY-- A traffic crash involving a tractor trailer has closed multiple lanes of I-81 at MM279.

As of 10:50 a.m. Monday, southbound lanes on I-81 are still closed in that area.

Virginia State Police say a tractor-trailer hit part of a bridge and caught fire near Edinburg. Troopers say the driver lost control for unknown reasons, hit a guard rail and then hit the side of the bridge.

The truck driver, Rickie Robinson, did not suffer any injuries, but he has been charged with reckless driving.
