ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) -- Arlington County fire officials say up to 1,800 gallons of human waste may have spilled into storm drains after a crash involving a sewage truck.

Authorities say a car collided with the Don's Johns sanitation services truck shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday on Arlington Boulevard.

Five people were inside the car, and all were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Fire officials say the entire capacity of the truck leaked into storm drains.

The county's Department of Environmental Services is warning people to avoid the waters of Four Mile Run between Columbia Pike and the Arlington County line. The advisory will remain in effect until Wednesday.
