Dead Man Found at I-64 Rest Stop

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va -– On Monday morning, Virginia State Police discovered a dead body at a rest stop off of Interstate 64, nearby mile marker 105.

At about 8:30 a.m., police responded to a call about an unresponsive man in a parked vehicle and upon further investigation, police determined the man to be dead. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond for examination and autopsy.

The rest stop did reopen and the incident remains under investigation.
