HARRISONBURG - The "EndItMovement" was on its way to Washington, D.C., but made a stop to James Madison University's campus Thursday. The movement is trying to bring awareness to the world's slavery problem.
Todd Linder is one of the members of the East Coast road team and said he and others are trying to awaken the nation. He believes this is a major problem and everyone should realize how this issue must end. Linder feels this isn't a problem that will solve itself.
"To be a part of the EndItMovement, just means to be a part of ending slavery. It's not about the van. It's not about the people. It's about the people who are enslaved and bringing them out of slavery," said Linder.
The EndItMovement started on Feb. 1 and will continue until April 9. Twenty seven million people are still enslaved and members of the group hope this will make a difference.
