Fatal Accident at Quarry

STAUNTON, Va -- On October 25th, at approximately 1:30 p.m. the Staunton Police Department received a 911 call, reporting that a 70-year-old man was entrapped in a rock crusher at Staunton Lime at 251 National Avenue.

Donald Lee Reese, of Raphine, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

Police have confirmed that there has been a fatal accident at the Staunton Lime Quarry, located at 251 National Ave. This accident did involve industrial machinery.

We have no further details at this time, but we are awaiting a press release from the Staunton Police Department.
