WOODSTOCK The homeless numbers in Shenandoah County have risen. From 312 individuals and 222 families in 2012 to 355 individuals and 272 in 2013.
Family Promise, a New Jersey-based organization, offered their solution to the homeless problem. Antioch Church of the Brethren's Pastor says the organization's ideas are welcome.
"This is a movement of God, we think he wants something to happen, and believe he's called together a lot of folks tonight, we don't have all the answers but together I think he's going to reveal those to us," said Pastor George Bowers.
This is the first of several discussions about the homelessness problem. Antioch Church of the Brethren is considering another meeting in December.
