HARRISONBURG -- One city in the Valley is hosting First Fridays to try and get the word out about it's downtown area.
Downtown Harrisonburg hosted it's 23rd annual Fridays on the Square. It's sponsored by many different businesses in the downtown area. Many people came out to listen to the free music.
One person said events like this will help downtown.
"Brings people downtown. People have to park a little ways and walk over so they get to see where businesses are. Different businesses I think promote the evening. I think it's just great for downtown," said Friday on the Square goer, Elaine Dunaway.
Fridays on the square has one more event. It's on August 16.
