HARRISONBURG, Va - The Harrisonburg Fire Department told a WHSV reporter that the Broad St. block between Rock St. and Gay St. is closed until a Columbia Gas repairman can look at the damage.

This comes after fire crews responded to a gas leak in the area. Monday afternoon, a work crew struck a gas line on Broad St. The line did not appear to be leaking, but precautions were taken.

Firefighters said that this type of accident happens quite frequently.

No injuries were reported.
