TIMBERVILLE, Va. -- A good neighbor wants to make a difference in the lives of children at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the Connecticut school where a shooting happened last week. Ramona Breeden is collecting stuffed animals and other donations to give to every student at the school.
Breeden said the stories of every child at the school have affected her and motivated her to travel to Connecticut. She wants to give every student at the school a small gift.
She's asking for good neighbors to help in a donation drive because she said she wants children there to know people in the Valley care about them.
“Something just touched me, you know, and I felt a strong need to take a toy to every child in that school, to make them see that we love them and that we care and that we will be here for them through anything,” said Breeden.
Ramona plans to head to Connecticut as soon as she collects 700 presents for the students.
