HARRISONBURG, Va -– On Wednesday, pizza places throughout the nation prepared to fill all their orders. That's because Halloween is one of the busiest nights of the year for pizza restaurants. It is second only to Super Bowl Sunday.

Pizzerias could see anywhere from a 30 to 300 percent increase in sales on Wednesday. Whether it is parents busy with trick-or-treaters needing quick easy meals or all the parties, Halloween is a big business day in pizza.

A waitress at Little Italy, a pizzerias in Harrisonburg, said they are prepared.

"We're going to get really busy tonight, so we are ready for it, like 50 people tonight. We're going to sell a lot of pizzas. We get more busy than the usual for Halloween," said Sandra Diaz Velazquez.

She said today even their lunch was busier than normal.
