Harrisonburg, VA – The City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County will soon open a public information telephone line for storm‐related questions.
This non‐emergency phone line is available for residents, who reside in both the City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County that may have questions regarding the upcoming weather, road closures,
government office closings, etc.
“The purpose of this phone line is to alleviate the call volume to the Harrisonburg Rockingham County Emergency Communications Center,” said Mary‐Hope Vass, City of Harrisonburg Public Information
Officer. “We want to divert non‐emergency storm‐related questions so the ECC is fully prepared for any emergency‐related calls.”
Non‐emergency phone calls can be made to 540‐442‐9111 starting at 1 p.m. today. Anyone with an immediate emergency should always call 911.
