September is Hunger Action Month and WHSV-TV3 is teaming up with Martin's and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to help fight hunger in the Valley.
This Friday, Aug. 31, pick up non-perishable food items from Martin's grocery stores and help WHSV “Stuff A Truck” with 40,000 pounds of food for struggling families in our community.
WHSV and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank will be collecting items between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Martin's grocery stories in Harrisonburg, Staunton and Waynesboro.
If you can't make the event, you can still help out! You can donate online here or at http://www.brafb.org/Donate.aspx.
The food bank serves more than 119,000 people each month in the Central Shenandoah Valley. This number is growing, while the food supply is shrinking in the current state of the economy.
WHSV, Martin's, and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank asks the Valley to come out this Friday to combat hunger and help us Stuff a Truck!
