Christmas Day may be about giving, but the 26th is all about returning!
For many in the Valley today, it's back to the stores.
The stores are busy with shoppers spending gift cards and returning items.
"A lot of people have the misconception that the day after Christmas is just returns all day, not really. It's just people completing what they got for Christmas,” said Derek Cain, Best Buy General Manager.
The stores are happy to see the customers this year.
"We are...it's incredibly busy. It's definitely busier than last year which is nice,” said Cain.
Shoppers even noticed it was busier than last year.
"I guess the economy is coming back because especially if you have a good sale, 70% off and those kinds of things and it will bring people out. And people are getting things that they couldn't get otherwise,” said Ormond Painter.
At the mall in Harrisonburg, the Christmas gift giving spirit is still well and alive. They've got Christmas music, JC Pennies has been open since 6 am and some folks are finding the best bargains all year.
"I got a pair of pants that were a little tight so I brought that back and there was a deal over here where you can buy one dress shirt, get one for free so that's pretty good,” said Jonathan Kimble, UVA student.
