CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va -- There are new details about a potential breach of privacy for nearly 1800 patients at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
A spokesperson for U.Va. Medical Center said a device with patients' personal information is missing. You may be at risk if you were a Continuum Home Infusion patient between August and September.
U.Va. said the device has patients' names, addresses and even some Social Security numbers on it. The spokesperson said he doesn't think anyone has gotten the information, but he wanted to let patients know just in case.
If you don't receive a letter by December 21, you can call 855-770-0003 to find out if you are at risk. The reference code you may need is 8827111912.
