STAUNTON, Va -- Danny Ray is the pharmacist at Ray's Health Mart Pharmacy and he said the flu often comes with chills and a fever. He said he expects to start filling prescriptions soon for those infected with the virus.
To stay healthy, he said people should use common sense.
“Of course, if you know someone that has the flu, avoid them. Wash your hands often if you come in contact with people with colds or flu,” said Ray.
There are several ways to treat the flu. He says the sooner you get medicine, the better.
Fever, muscle aches and headaches are common symptoms of the flu.
