Letters to Santa

The Harrisonburg Post Office has been busy picking up all of the kids' letters to Santa.

Each and every one has to get to the North Pole before Christmas.

People have been mailing their cards this year and the post office is packed with packages.

Gregg Davidson has worked for the Harrisonburg Post Office for seven years.

He said he enjoys this time of year.

Davidson said he often feels like Santa's right hand man around the holidays.

"Well, you get to play Santa Clause yourself a little bit. You get to run Christmas Cards, you see a lot of people you haven't seen all year long. The Holiday Spirit comes out of the woodwork a little bit this time of the year," said Davidson.

He has one very important role.

He has to get all of the the little kids' letters to the North Pole before Christmas.

"I'm the go-between. I'm like the liaison to the elves. You know, I get them the letters and they get them to Santa Clause."

There is still time to get your letters to Santa Clause.

I takes three to five days to reach the North Pole.
