HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Virginia Golf Cars is sending six loads of golf carts to Washington, D.C. for the presidential inauguration.
On Monday, the company had the two last loads ready to send the next morning.
Chad Dunham, a Virginia Golf Cars manager, said the company would send 130 carts to the nation's capital. Dunham said they could even send up to 500, if requested.
He said he was not sure what the carts would be used for at the inauguration, but he was excited for his company to be showcased at the big event.
He said they already send carts to the Superbowl and NASCAR, but the inauguration is even more special.
"The presidential inauguration is pretty special because it happens every four years,” said Dunham, “It's a huge event and it's a lot of fun. Something different. This time a year we typically don't have a lot of rental business because it's so cold. But this is one we get to do, so it's kinda neat."
He said this event helps their business during their slowest season and this is the second time the company has sent carts for the inauguration.
