AUGUSTA COUNTY -- Kevin Vanzant, the man accused of having a sexual relationship with a Valley teenager, will stay in jail.

Vanzant recently moved from Augusta County to Texas. He drove from Texas to the Valley to turn himself in. The prosecution said Vanzant might leave the state if released and that's why a judge denied him bond.

The victim's mother got in touch with police about the relationship. The victim was 13-years-old when the abuse started.

A witness spoke on behalf of Vanzant's character in court.
