STAUNTON -- A Harrisonburg man was arrested on attempted sex charges involving a minor.

The picture at right is Isauro Nicolas Monroy. Police are still investigating the incident, but they were able to bring Monroy into custody after a tip from a concerned parent after her daughter received inappropriate text messages on her phone.

Augusta County Sheriff Investigator Caleb Spence explained, "The suspect had already initiated contact. The phone was brought to us and we followed up with it. We posed as a victim and he continued along with his behavior asking for sex and wanting to meet up for sex. We set up a designated spot where he wanted to meet. Myself and four other officers made up of investigators met him near the Staunton Mall and took him down there."
