STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV)-- At the Aug. 5 'Praise in the Park concert in Gypsy Hill Park, one man took a leap of faith during the event's intermission.

Justin Peters called Tiffany, his girlfriend of two years, to the stage after the first performance. He then got down on one knee and proposed in front of friends, family, and a surprised crowd.

Peters said it meant a lot to him to be able to propose at the gospel event, where he can honor his faith.

"I can do it in front of fellow Christians everywhere, and it helps me be a better Christian, and helps her be a better Christian," said Peters.

Everything went as planned, and Tiffany said yes, capping off an evening the newly engaged couple will never forget.
