WAYNESBORO -- Police are looking for Denzel Tyrone Washington, 28. He is wanted on felony drug charges.

Police also believe Washington can help them find the suspect in a shooting, which took place last month on the 300 block of North Delphine Avenue. Washington's mother suffered two gun shot wounds from the shooting. Washington was not home at the time of the incident.

Police believe that Washington was the target of the home invasion. Police later discovered 100 grams of cocaine they believed belonged to him in the home.

Sgt. Brian Edwards of the Waynesboro Police Departments said, "We've set up some meetings to meet with our detectives and he has not showed up to any of them. That's pretty peculiar that his mother has been shot by these people and he could fill in a lot of the gaps we have in this investigation if he would only come in and cooperate. So, since he wouldn't come to us, since he wouldn't come to us voluntarily, we're going to go out and find him, bring him in, in handcuffs"
