More jobs could be coming to Rockingham County.
The Board of Supervisors are working on a master plan to entice businesses to come to the Rockingham Center for Research and Technology.
Development of the 365-acre facility will occur in four phases.
The first completed phase was SRI Shenandoah Valley, a drug research company, two years ago.
No companies have agreed to take up space just yet.
County Administrator Joe Paxton says attracting big companies is helping to put the county on the map.
"Anytime we get a business like SRI, MillerCoors, RR Donnelley, or Merck or any national company that chooses to locate here, it just sends a signal to others that Rockingham County and Harrisonburg is a good place to do business.
Paxton says the business park would also include walking trails and a pavilion.
Board members would also like to welcome other commercial and retail businesses.
