Mobile Home Fire Displaces Family of Six in Augusta County

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- A family of six without a home on Sunday after a fire damaged a mobile home in Augusta County. Grottoes volunteer fire crews said that the fire started on South River Road after 12 p.m.

Fire crews said wind was a major factor in spreading the fire.

It took crews 45 minutes just to get the fire under control.

Red Cross is helping the family of two adults and four children who lived in the mobile home. They are giving the family money to help with meals, clothing and a play to stay.

Fire crews are still investigating what caused it.
