MT. JACKSON-- The search for a new town manager in Mt. Jackson is on. The person taking over the position for now knows the job inside and out. Charlie Moore retired as town manager nine months ago but was happy to step back in for the temporary position.

It was decided at a special town council meeting on Wednesday. The council also appointed Neil Showalter as the assistant Town Manager. The town council said it is looking forward to having Moore back.

"I think it will be very productive and looking forward to it. He's got, all the experience here. 15-16 years experience with us, he knows the town inside and out. I am looking forward to working with him on that," said town council member Donald Pifer.

On Monday the former town manager Clark Draper resigned. The search for his permanent replacement starts in a few weeks.
