HARRISONBURG -- Job seekers were out looking to hand their résumé to potential employers Thursday hoping to be one less unemployed statistic. Several businesses took part in a career fair at National College.
Job seekers were encouraged to dress professionally. One booth at the fair suggests that not only does attire matter when applying for a job but a possible professional make over may be important.
"Less is always more. The less make up and less drama added to your face the better. It's very similar to wedding make up. Something that's going to enhance eye color and the nature complection toned to the skin," said Mary Kay Sales Director Erin Seal.
Seal also suggests that when men are looking for a job they should be well groomed and put together.
