HARRISONBURG -- There are new details in a violent rape case involving two 16-year-old boys.
A new motion, signed by the Commonwealth's attorney, called for a mental evaluation of one of the defendants.
Two 16-year-old boys face charges of brutally raping a woman in her apartment in October.
Police said it happened at the victim's home in an apartment complex off Bradley Drive. Investigators said the two teens threatened the victim with a knife and raped her. They also said the teens stole some of her belongings.
The judge decided to try the defendants as adults because the crime is so severe.
