Heavy rainfall across the Valley Wednesday caused some roads to be shut down and other areas to flood.
It was a little different in downtown Waynesboro.
Some businesses that are prone to flooding, showed no signs of it during the rainstorm.
Workers at Tim Spears Music City say the store no longer floods.
They say earlier this year, the water in the South River was lowered by about two feet, which helped put a stop to water flowing inside.
The owner of the Green Leaf Grill, just up the road from Tim Spears Music City, says he's heard horror stories about businesses getting flooded.
"From what I've heard from last year, downtown typically ends up shutting down when the snow and rain hits," said Chris Hollinger, owner of the Green Lea Grill.
Hollinger says one of the reasons he chose his location was because it's right outside of the flood zone.
"We plan on being open. We can feed people if they don't have power. We want to try to weather the storm out, but from what we hear it's typically not that good in downtown," said Hollinger.
Hollinger says despite the rain and snow that fell in downtown Waynesboro, he says his goal is to stay open.
The Green Leaf Grill opened its doors in May.
