HARRISONBURG, Va -- The Harrisonburg Police Department continues to collect information from a death investigation that began on Thursday morning.
Investigators are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death and positive identification of the man. Until that man has been positively identified and his next of kin notified, authorities will not release his name.
At about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to the report of a man found dead inside of an apartment at the Dutch Mill Court complex.
The complex's officer manager discussed what detectives told him.
"It seemed like the body had been there for a few days. When our maintenance man saw the body it seemed the body had been in bad condition," said Thad Christophel, the office manager.
