HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Virginia Department of Transportation employee Sandy Meyers said that road conditions are moderate in Harrisonburg and will remain so throughout Wednesday.

That may not sound serious, however moderate means that there is consistent snow, slush and ice so motorists will want to watch out if they are out on the roads.

Meyers said the roads are passable, but it's really not safe for a lot of people to be driving right now.

There is also a lot of wind so you could experience white out conditions, which is dangerous as far as visibility goes.

If you have them, Myers recommends snow tires or chains to help.

There haven't been any major accidents as of 12 p.m., just a few incidents.

In Augusta county, a lane was blocked Wednesday morning on I-81 after three tractor trailers jack knifed.

That accident was cleared up at about 10 a.m.
