AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va -- Fences are being put up and the stage is in place for Republican Presidential-Candidate Mitt Romney's and his running-mate Paul Ryan's visit to the Valley on Thursday.
The Augusta County Expo general manager said this is the first time he has hosted an event of this size since he started working at The Expo.
A look at preparations from earlier in the day show that dozens of workers have taken over the expo, working all day to prepare for Romney's visit. Preparation has included sprucing up farms nearby and tractors full of supplies to keep setting up.
The general manager hopes to have everything in place before Thursday's visit.
Doors to the public open around 4 p.m. on Thursday. Romney and Ryan are scheduled to speak around 6:45 p.m.
