SHENANDOAH COUNTY -- Rob Schwartz, the general manger at Bryce Resort, said it's a record for the resort to be open this late, but that it's worth it.
Schwartz said the resort was busier than usual for this time of the year. He said that's because many schools are on spring break or enjoying a snow day.
Management decided to keep the resort open because of the prediction of a cold March. He said it was easy to keep the resort open because it's located in a small town.
Staying open helped make up for a no business in November.
"It has been a bump and run season. We opened a little later than what we usually like to be open. We open only a few days before Christmas so the season started up a little slow but caught up quickly," said Schwartz.
The resort will close on Saturday. Other resorts in the area, like Massanutten, are already closed.
