Smart Beginnings Shenandoah Valley Receives Project 3 Grant

Smart Beginnings Shenandoah Valley received a financial boost on Thursday.

That's because they received a $1,000 grant from Project 3, a partnership involving WHSV, local businesses and area schools.

Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative made the donation and chose the winner.

The money will help the children's program with an important transition.

"The thousand dollars will go for printing a Kindergarten resource guide for parents to help their children transition into Kindergarten in the Shenandoah, Page County school systems as well as Rockingham and Harrisonburg," said Alysia Davis with Smart Beginnings Shenandoah Valley.
