SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va -- People met in Edinburg to talk about ways to boost business with agri-tourism. One way to do that is using social media to get the word out about their products.
The goal was to give the farmers the information they need.
"Totally up to the farmer. The workshop is focused on giving them some skills and resources that will help them with that business venture," said Erin Yancey, regional planner of Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission.
Yancey said about 90-percent of the people who came Wednesday were farmers. She said this is a new step to showcase the agriculture of the Valley.
