Valley Restaurant Gives Thumb Rings to Prevent Texting while Driving

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Mr J's Bagel and Deli is giving away “Thumbs Up” thumb rings for those who sign a pledge to not text while driving.

Texting while driving takes a driver's eyes off the road for an average of 5 seconds. At 55 mph, that's like driving the length of a football field completely blind! Distracted driving injures more than 300,000 people every year.
