A program to help children with intellectual disabilities at Thomas Harrison Middle School got $1,000 Friday.
The grant was through Project 3, a partnership between TV3, local businesses and area schools.
The law firm of Botkin Rose picked the winner and made the donation.
Teacher Morina Lamb submitted a grant proposal for a program called Pride Pals.
She explains, "Pride Pals is a program here at Thomas Harrison Middle School that pairs students who have intellectual disabilities with students who don't, and it's been formed so that they can have friendships that will grow throughout the years, that will help them to be part of the school and the community."
