"Project 3" gave a $1,000 grant Tuesday night to Harrisonburg Public Schools to further STEM education. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.
"Project 3" is a partnership involving TV-3, local businesses and area schools. Angelopulos Dental of Harrisonburg made the donation and chose the winner.
The money will help expand integrative STEM education to all the city elementary schools.
"Integrative stem education is using science, technology, engineering and math to solve real-world problems through the engineering design process. Our process is four steps: Plan, create, check and share," said Amy Sabarre with Harrisonburg Public Schools.
