Baked Cinnamon or Granola Apples
Betty Crocker's Cookbook.
1/2-1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon margarine
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon or 1 tablespoon low fat granola
1. Core baking apples (Rome or Golden Delicious, etc.) and pare a 1-inch strip around the middle of each apple to prevent splitting.
2. Place apples upright in an ungreased microwave safe pan. Place the other ingredients in the center of the apple. Microwave on high until tender:
1 apple- 2-4 minutes
2 apples- 3-5 minutes
4 apples-6-8 minutes
Calories: Apple with 1 tablespoon brown sugar= 185
Apple with 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon granola= 180
