Green Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooking oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups chopped, raw green apples
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees



    2. Mix together oil, white sugar, vanilla and eggs



    3. Add four, baking soda, salt and cinnamon



    4. Fold in apples and pecans



    5. Pour in well greased and floured tube pan



    6. Bake for 1 hour or until done



    7. Mix together margarine, brown sugar and milk



    8. Cook topping for 3 minutes and pour over cake while hot.



    Let cake cool in pan.
