Neighbors who live nearby the bridge on Route 608 in Stuarts Draft are concerned about the safety of the road they live on.
They said the road is dangerous due to heavy traffic and speeding.
Tom Miller lives in the house next to the bridge where one woman died on Saturday and another woman died several years ago.
He said it's a very narrow bridge and can be dangerous if there is bad weather.
"With two cars on that bridge there's not a lot of room for error so if you're sliding or anything like that, you're gonna be in trouble," said Miller.
He said the bridge is not the only problem.
"This stretch of road in front of our house seems to be a very dangerous stretch," said Miller.
According to Miller, hearing about a crash on the road in front of his home is not uncommon.
"We have lived here for seven years and there have been at least four or five accidents right in front of our house or within 100 yards from our house," Miller said.
He said many wrecks have ended up as close as his front yard.
"One person has flipped straight into the ditch and come straight into our road other people have had an accident very close to our house and asked us to park in our driveway while they took care of matters," said Miller.
He said the problems come from people driving faster than 45 mph, which is the speed limit on the road. Miller said people only slow down when they get closer to the stop lights.
"You always have to pay attention and watch people in front of you. I always put my turn signal ahead of time so I don't get rear ended coming in my driveway," said Miller.
He said some wrecks could be prevented if the speed limit before the bridge was reduced to 35 mph.
