STAUNTON -- Two young men are in the hospital in serious condition after a car crash on Friday which happened in Churchville.

Wednesday afternoon, family and friends packed Wright's Dairy Rite to show their support for the victims, David Fitzgerald and Dalton Hinkle.

Giant cards were passed around and signed for the two. Vehicles parked outside were covered in writing, asking for prayers.

The families said they would like the community to keep supporting them during the recovery.

“They said its going to be a long road for both of them, extremely long, but as long as we get them home, we're happy,” said Patricia Hinkle, Dalton Hinkle's sister.

Autumn Hinkle, Dalton Hinkle's cousin, was optimistic.

“Just keep praying because they definitely need them. They're doing great and they're going to continue to do great and we'll bring them home soon,” said Autumn Hinkle.

The families are thankful for everything the community has done during this time.
