ROCKINGHAM COUNTY -- The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person who vandalized a local church Saturday night.

The Sheriff said someone may have used a slingshot to throw marbles into at least eight windows at the People's Baptist Church on Route 33.

Richard Forsythe, the pastor of the church, said he wants people to pray for whoever vandalized the church.

"It frustrated us, but we're concerned about folks that would do that, that are troubled that way,” Forsythe said. “So we told the church later to pray for them, trust the Lord in their hearts to put them on a different course, a different path."

If you have any information on who may be responsible for this vandalism, contact the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
