My taste in music is eclectic…from Country to 90’s Hip Hop.
Favorite dance style:
Well lets just say that I don’t have any professional training (yet), but I’ve been known to cut a rug.
Background: Where are you from? Where did you go to college?
I grew up in Rockingham County and graduated from Broadway High School. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University.
Occupation and other community service you are involved in:
I work at Alexiou Hearing & Sinus Center with Dr. Michael Alexiou. I have been a board member of the John C. Myers Elementary School PTA for three years. I am involved with Relay for Life.
Fun facts about you:
I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love trying to complete a good challenge. I don’t think that I have ever met a stranger.
Why did you decide to participate in DWTS?
I was driven by the desire to give back to Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center. I went to the daycare as a child, my son attended and my daughter is currently enrolled. We have had nothing but good experiences and the staff are courteous and professional. They have such a great program that helps the community on so many different levels.
I love to dance because….
I forget about my worries and it reminds me to live in the moment.
If there was one thing that we could focus on about you as we promote DWTS, what would that one thing be?
I am very excited about being chosen to participate in DWTS this year because I have heard that the whole experience is life changing. I am eager to interact with the children and staff of the daycare to make this fun for everyone involved. I am hoping to make my husband Eric, son Brock and daughter Taylor very proud of me.
