I’m a Rocker! It always surprises people when they get in my car and Octane is playing on Sirius Radio.
Favorite dance style:
I like watching the Latin Dances – although I know very little about dancing.
Background: Where are you from? Where did you go to college?
I am from Broadway, Virginia. I graduated from Broadway High School and went on to Bridgewater College where I graduated with a degree in political science.
Occupation and other community service you are involved in:
I am a Partner and General Manager of Valley Engineering, located in Harrisonburg, VA – a full service engineering and surveying firm. I currently serve on the anti-bullying committee for Rockingham County Schools. I am an active member of the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers and a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.
Fun facts about you:
My family and I raise and breed Tennessee Walking Horses on our family farm. I currently have won four World Grand Champion titles.
Why did you decide to participate in DWTS?
I was honored to be nominated and thought it would be a great opportunity to help a local charity and also have a little fun and improve my dance skills!
I love to dance because….
I have always been fascinated watching professional dancers. I am really into music (I was in the High School band) and love to express myself through music and dance.
If there was one thing that we could focus on about you as we promote DWTS, what would that one thing be?
I would like the focus to be on my company, Valley Engineering. We have been in the community since 1997 and do some extraordinary projects that are not locally known. We specialize in healthcare engineering and are currently working at 42 different healthcare facilities through VA and WV.
